Catholic Life
Our School Vision
At St Mary’s, with Christ as our guiding light, we endeavour to live out our Catholic ethos and mission of our school and we aim to develop lifelong learners who have a thirst for the development of knowledge and skills in every area of the curriculum, which will provide them with high aspirations and a social conscience to make a positive difference to themselves and the world around them.
We believe that our school provides the experience of a living, growing Catholic environment for all members of our community. Christ is at the centre of everything we do.
At the heart of St Mary's is our school mission: We Share, We Value, We Respect. To celebrate these virtues in action, we present our weekly Mission Statement Certificates.
Each week, we look for those special moments where a child has truly lived out one of these three pillars. One child from every class is chosen to receive a certificate dedicated to either Sharing, Valuing, or Respecting others. It is a wonderful way for us to recognise the light of Christ shining through our children's daily actions.
Please take a moment to read our latest newsletter to see all that we have been up to in school. It highlights the many ways we have lived out our Catholic life, including acts of worship, reflection, and service, as well as the events and celebrations that have taken place within our school community.
We are part of the St John Paul II parish. You can read the parish newsletters each week here
