S.E.N.D

At St Mary’s RC Primary School we strive to support all children to enable them to
achieve their very best whilst at our school. In order to do this many steps are taken
to support them through their learning journey. Some children may need further
support to help them reach their targets and if this is the case your child will receive
additional help from other teachers and support staff in the school.
Mrs Potts is our SENDCo and she is responsible for ensuring that children
with SEN are receiving the specific provision they need. Mrs Potts will liaise with
staff to monitor progress and plan further interventions if necessary. We meet a wide
range of external agencies that are able to offer more specialised advice and
guidance.
If you have any concerns regarding SEN please contact school and ask to speak to
Mrs Potts, in the first instance.

Salford Learning Support Service have set up an email hotline for parents to use for advice and support with SEND pupils.  The emails primary purpose is to signpost parents to areas of support to services such as: Educational Psychology, SEN Team,  SIASS, Primary Inclusion Team (PIT) amongst others.

The link for the email address and info for parents is here - https://www.salford.gov.uk/people-communities-and-local-information/coronavirus/children-young-people-and-families/information-and-resources-for-parents-and-carers-looking-after-babies-and-children/

The email address is lssgeneric@salford.gov.uk

The email will be monitored by a member of LSS on each day however parents should be aware that the person monitoring my not be the ‘expert’ in their child’s needs on that day. The teacher monitoring the email will signpost the parent to the appropriate person.
